It will soon be easier to visit the Caribbean and other tropical destinations later this year.
On Friday, Delta Air Lines announced several new routes to popular tropical destinations including Barbados, Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic and Mazatlán in Mexico.
The airline will operate daily service from their main hub in Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport to Barbados and Puerto Plata beginning on Nov. 23. The service to Mazatlán will operate three times per week from the airline’s hub in Minneapolis/St. Paul. starting on Dec. 21.
Additionally, Delta previously announced that it will be heading to Tulum in October.
The airline is also increasing its flights to the island of Curaçao from Atlanta to daily service starting on Nov. 23. Curaçao has been described as a “travel dupe” for St. Maarten, due to the picturesque beach scenes without high prices.
“This latest schedule gives travelers unparalleled choice, with up to 1,000 weekly flights to distinctive places throughout Latin America and the Caribbean,” Delta’s Senior Vice President of Network Planning Joe Esposito said in a statement.
All of the new routes will operate on a Boeing 737-800, and will begin ticket sales on February 3, 2024, while the Tulum flights are currently on sale. Delta says they will provide service to at least 50 destinations in the Caribbean throughout the 2024-2025 winter season.
The new daily service to Barbados will help more travelers discover the famed pink sand beaches and all-inclusive resorts within the island. The island has recently celebrated openings of new resorts, such as the O2 Beach Club & Spa which features swim-up suites and a rooftop pool.

Announced Friday, airline will begin new seasonal service from Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) to Honolulu’s Daniel K.
