A Greek National Tourism Organisation (GNTO) delegation headed by the organisation’s secretary general, Dimitris Fragakis, is to depart for Berlin on Tuesday, March 5 to take part in the tourism exhibition ITB Berlin 2024 (5-7 March). It is the largest delegation in recent years as a total of 85 co-exhibitors will be hosted at the 1,000 sqm Greek pavilion, among them Greek tourism enterprises, regions and municipalities.

Seychelles is set to dazzle attendees at the world’s largest travel trade show, ITB Berlin 2024 at the Berlin Exhibition Grounds.

The chef Mina Stone, 42 — who runs Mina’s, the cafe at MoMA PS1 in Queens, and is a go-to caterer for art gallery dinners — favors Thomcords, a sweet, seedless hybrid she often serves with dessert to “provide heft and a colorful backdrop” for daintier confections. She also likes to roast grapes alongside seared duck breast. In London, the pastry chef Claire Ptak, the owner of Violet bakery, offers what she calls fragolina cupcakes, named for the fragola (Italian for “strawberry”) grapes that she cooks down, then purées and adds to the buttercream frosting. The fragolas “taste like a berryish Concord,” says Ptak, 49, who tops each cake with a small cluster of fruit. The frosted treats “transport you back to childhood when you take the first bite,” she says, “and then you realize they’re also very grown-up.” —

A new low-cost airline is giving passengers the opportunity to travel to two different countries for the price of one.  This week, Play Airlines announced a new sale that provides discounted fares combined with the opportunity to add a multi-day stopover in their main hub of Reykjavík, Iceland. For example, a traveler can book a ticket from Boston Logan Airport to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, and add a several-day visit to Iceland in the middle, for no extra charge.  The carrier operates services in the United States departing from New York (SWF — Stewart International Airport), Boston (BOS), Baltimore (BWI), and Washington (IAD). The flights often connect in Iceland to various destinations in Europe including London, Paris, Amsterdam, and Berlin. The fare sale offers $99 flights to Iceland from the U.S., or $129 on fares that continue to one of the Europe destinations. The promotion is valid from now through Feb. 6 at 11:59 p.m. EST for travel through December, with the exception of June, July, and August. The maximum stopover in Iceland is ten days. The fares include all taxes and are booked in the «PLAY Basic» category, which only includes a personal item. Travelers can bring carry-on or checked bags for additional fees.
