It’s shaping up to be an extremely busy winter holiday season, but semi-private air company JSX has travelers covered with hassle-free — and luxe — flights starting at just $300 one-way.
The company, which flies small regional jets and offers the benefit of quiet and uncrowded private jet terminals, has lower-cost one-way flights from cities like Las Vegas, Burbank, Dallas, Denver, and more, the air carrier shared with Travel + Leisure.
“JSX stands for Joyful, Simple eXperience and the holidays are the perfect time of year to return much-needed happiness to fliers who find modern air travel anything but joyous,” JSX CEO Alex Wilcox told T+L. “Our fresh approach to offering a premium flying experience eliminates needless dwell time in packed airports and congested terminals, freeing up more time for travelers to focus on what matters most this holiday season: time well-spent with loved ones making memories that will last a lifetime.”
Travelers can book $300 one-way flights from Las Vegas to Los Angeles, from Las Vegas to Oakland, from Burbank to Phoenix, from Dallas to Houston, from the Denver area to Phoenix, from Dallas to Crested Butte, and more. Travelers can even head from Marsh Harbour on the Abaco Islands in the Bahamas to Florida for the same low price.
Airports are expected to be the busiest they’ve ever been over the holiday period, weeks after the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) recorded its busiest day ever following the Thanksgiving holiday.
Flying semi-private allows travelers to arrive at the terminal 20 to 40 minutes before their flight thanks to a seamless, shorter TSA-approved security protocol. JSX also offers free onboard Wi-Fi from SpaceX’s Starlink as well as power outlets in every row, two checked bags (including oversize items like skis or golf bags), free cocktails, and more.
JSX has been expanding its reach, adding new flights connecting the New York Metropolitan area with Florida this month. The company will also make it easier to fly out of Phoenix, relocating its flights from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport to a new private terminal at Scottsdale Airport. The company told T+L the Arizona changes will go into effect on Jan. 10, 2024.

It's the question rail enthusiasts have posed for years: When might U.S. train travel start to more closely resemble that of Europe and Asia?
San Francisco is no noob to reinvention. People have said the city is “over” for more than a hundred years. As native San Franciscan Chris Larsen said on local TV news, "We've seen this many times before. You know San Francisco is a story of boom, bust and, kind of, reinvention." Since COVID, the tech elite and their legions of vest and backpack uniformed armies have mostly vanished, leaving downtown and the areas around Market Street in disarray.
Naturally on a flight to paradise I wouldn't want anything less than a seamless and relaxing travel experience — and thankfully, that's exactly what JSX is offering on its new flight to the Bahamas.

The most wonderful time of the year is best spent with the people who make you happiest, and there’s no better place to bond than in beautiful Los Cabos. With so much to see and do, it’s the ideal setting for a family, group, or romantic getaway.
Self-service tech is evolving from fast-food restaurants and grocery checkouts: Starting in the New Year, select travelers will be able to screen themselves at airport security checkpoints. TSA is scheduled to launch a trial run of new “self-service” screening technology at the Las Vegas Harry Reid International Airport in January, allowing fliers enrolled in TSA PreCheck to conduct their own body scans.
With more than 115 million Americans expected to travel over the next few weeks, according to AAA, this holiday season is gearing up to be one of the busiest ones ever.
With nearly 40 million people slated to fly during the holidays this year, airlines are preparing for what could be one of the busiest holiday travel seasons on record.
Adam Kidan was aboard his Gulfstream private jet in 2021, headed from Los Angeles to the East Coast, when the pilot told him they needed to land in Las Vegas due to a maintenance issue. It took four days, dozens of phone calls and a couple of favors before he could find somebody to come fix his airplane. An entrepreneur who built his fortune helping others find workforce solutions, from warehouses to light manufacturing, he saw an opportunity. Beyond the manufacturers of private jets, he says there were no national networks of repair shops that could come out and fix your airplane if you have an AOG, industry speak for aircraft on the ground away from its base, or what we call a mechanical.
