Breeze Airways is growing its route map again, adding three new routes — and a new state — to its winter schedule.
The carrier is adding Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport (GPT) along Mississippi's Gulf coast, where flights will begin in January.
The airport will be the first in Mississippi for Breeze, the latest startup for serial airline entrepreneur David Neeleman that has grown rapidly since launching in May 2021. From GPT, Breeze plans flights to both Las Vegas' Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) and Tampa International Airport (TPA) in Florida.

The route falls in line with Breeze's core business model of flying nonstop flights on routes with demand, but not so much demand that they are attractive to the major hub-focused airlines like American Airlines, Delta Air Lines and United Airlines.
"Breeze seeks to connect cities that currently don't have any nonstop flight options," airline president Tom Doxey said in a statement announcing the new routes. "Now residents of Gulfport and Biloxi will have convenient and affordable service to Las Vegas or Tampa, two of the country's most popular destinations."
Beyond Gulfport, Breeze is adding another new route connecting two cities already in its network.

That will come Feb. 2, 2024, when the carrier adds nonstop service between Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) and Ohio's Akron-Canton Airport (CAK).
That route will beef up Breeze's position at both airports, giving it a total of eight seasonal and year-round flights from CAK and 11 from RDU.
However, it's not all expansion for Breeze. The carrier will walk away from Oklahoma's Tulsa International Airport (TUL), an airport that Breeze has served since its launch in 2021. The airline currently flies two routes from Tulsa — to Orlando and New Orleans — but both will be discontinued by the end of November.

I find great fulfillment in inspiring and educating young women to get out and pursue their passions — or whatever gets them excited in life.
