A vacationing woman has been charged with animal cruelty after police say she abandoned her pet dog at an airport parking lot in Pennsylvania.

A passenger flew back to Raleigh-Durham International Airport to help search for her dog that escaped after Alaska Airlines failed to put him on a flight to Seattle with her.

Gill Press told Insider she was determined to get some sort of compensation after she and her husband, Warren Press, relocated from premium economy to economy on a 13-hour flight from Paris to Singapore.

With just days to go before they were due to fly to Italy for their wedding, a Boston couple's plans took an unexpected turn after their pet dog ate the groom-to-be's passport.

Ely MacInnes and her husband, Tom, began traveling in the western United States with their 85-pound mutt, Alaska, in March 2020. Driving and living in an R.V., they visited White Sands and Petrified Forest National Parks in New Mexico and Arizona before heading to California, Oregon and Washington. They sometimes struggled to figure out where Alaska could and couldn’t roam, but often found that they could have wonderful experiences.

On a Saturday morning in the Lake District, perhaps at the base of a popular fell or along the shores of a placid lake, you might think you were at a countryside Crufts. UPDATE: As if United weren’t already getting enough bad press from the dead-dog-in-the-overhead incident, just days later the airline mis-shipped two dogs to two different destinations. A Kansas City-bound German shepherd was flown to Japan, while the Japan-bound Great Dane landed in Kansas City. Once again, United issued an apology, and “is looking into the matter.”
