Having revised the salary structure for flying staff in April, Tata Group-owned Air India has now initiated a revamp of employment contracts and compensation for its non-flying workforce in India.

Oman’s Ministry of Heritage and Tourism is seeking to establish a tourism representative office in China, part of the ministry’s efforts to develop marketing plans that promote Oman’s tourism attractions through its global offices.

The civil aviation ministry has created an additional 1,222 new jobs in the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, Airports Authority of India and Airports Economic Regulatory Authority. Some 796 positions have been created to beat the shortage of air traffic control officers. In addition, the aviation safety regulator and tariff regulator are looking to fill a total of 416 and 10 new positions.

IndiGo’s co-founder Rakesh Gangwal and his family have disclosed they would sell up to $450 million of shares in the budget carrier’s parent holding, InterGlobe Aviation. That represents about 4% of his stake and would be the largest block deal yet by Gangwal.
