Guesty, the California-based property management software company, acquired vacation rental tech platform StaySense. 

Korean Air Lines’s proposed acquisition of rival Asiana may restrict competition in passenger and cargo air transport services between Europe and South Korea, EU antitrust regulators said on Wednesday.

Blueground, the property management company that operates furnished 30-plus-day rentals, has acquired Nestpick in an equity-based deal. Nestpick’s platform lists month to month rentals of furnished accommodation. The company is registered in Germany, with offices in New York.

Frontdesk, which manages furnished apartments in more than 30 U.S. markets, acquired a smaller rival, the Chicago-based Zencity.

WestJet group is planning to wind down low-cost carrier Sunwing Airlines and integrate it into its main business, according to a memo seen by Reuters. The move is part of the integration process by WestJet which completed the acquisition of Sunwing airlines in May.

This is not necessarily a buy now and pay later acquisition — Fintech firm Upgrade agreed to acquire Uplift for $100 million in cash and stock.

The proposed merger of JetBlue Airways and Spirit Airlines has been one of the travel industry’s most watched developments over the past year and a half, with the two carriers aiming to create the U.S.’ fifth largest domestic airline.
