TUI Group’s hotel division, TUI Hotels & Resorts, said on Tuesday it planned to expand its presence in sub-Saharan Africa, a region with significant tourism potential.

In February, TUI, one of the world’s largest tourism businesses, announced it would be offering sustainability-linked bonds.

The TUI Group is a tourism powerhouse. Arguably best known for its family-friendly vacations, the company’s operation spans hotels, cruise ships, travel agencies, and digital platforms. The goal is to offer the entire value chain under a single umbrella brand. 

TUI Group surpassed earnings expectations in the first quarter of 2024 with the help of a surge in demand for holiday experiences like cruises and the increasing use of dynamic packaging.
