U.s. travel association tips

The U.S. and China will improve air connectivity and streamline visa processing, said Chinese President Xi Jinping in public remarks on Wednesday. Xi made the remarks at a dinner hosted by the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations and US-China Business Council. 

U.S. Travel urges Congress to consider other critical measures to modernize the entire visa process.

Congressman William D. Delahunt’s vision led to bipartisan legislation creating Brand USA, America’s travel marketing organization.

In the coming months, the commission will further engage federal agencies during additional field visits to learn more about best practices, pain points and opportunities to improve and grow travel. The commission’s report will be delivered later this year.

To date, 106 individuals have been named to the Hall of Leaders, U.S. Travel’s highest honor.

Dave Lorenz was announced as the honoree before more than 1,000 destination marketing professionals at the U.S. Travel Association’s annual Educational Seminar for Tourism Organizations (ESTO) conference.

The Destiny Awards are accolades that honor outstanding performance in destination marketing at the local and regional levels, whereas the Mercury Awards are dedicated to acknowledging achievements within the realm of state-level marketing.
