For the past 10 years or so, I’ve been struggling with what I thought were just “normal” periods. I experienced everything from irregular timing between periods to debilitating cramps that would force me to sit or lie down, even if I was at work or traveling.

Finding the right running shoe can be harder than the workout itself. Running shoes come with different criteria than your normal walking shoes: It's important to consider the type of running you'll be doing, your arch, and the overall weight of the shoe. As for finding the proper fit for your foot, Shawn Marlovits, the owner of Fleet Foot Hoboken, says this: “A great fitting running shoe should have a snug fit in the heel and mid-foot with a roomy toe box. This gives the foot some good support in the heel and around the arch while allowing the toes to breathe. It should lace up the foot evenly and not put pressure on the instep of the foot.”

When’s the last time a restaurant name made you tear up?

As business consultants, Tyler Betz and Tim Gao spend more of their days on the road than off, and more nights in hotels than in their home base of Dallas. The two share fairly nomadic upbringings, too: Tyler grew up across six states, while Tim was born in China and raised in Canada and the US.

That's how Mexican chef Elena Reygadas found herself in Argentina last August. “Pablo [Rivera] told me, You don't have to cook, but I want you to see our most important day—the carneada," says Reygadas. "It's when he and his partner Guido [Tassi] kill the pigs and make salami for their restaurant, but it's also a party for the people they love."

When he chats with Condé Nast Traveler, it’s between calls as the founder of his nonprofit, World Central Kitchen, which is currently fighting to deliver food and aid to Gaza. It’s understandable, then, that his idea of a vacation has changed as he’s gotten older (and his empire larger).
